Winter Training Tips
Staying focused and motivated during the long, dark winter evenings can be really difficult. Everything seems more bleak when it’s cold and gloomy, and schooling can feel monotonous. Don't worry we are all in the same boat counting down the days till lighter evenings and bright sunny days.
Here are Hardy Etc 5 Top Tips:
1- Don't have time to ride.. 20min lungeing session will allow your horse to stretch his legs and can help to keep your horse fit if you don’t have the time to school him.
2- Ride and lead, saves time if you have a couple of horses to work
3- Make the most of the weekend, take your horse out for a long hack while you can ride in the day light. They will love it, and so will you.
4- Fill up water containers ever evening in case there is a frost you won't be caught out by having no running water
5- Save time by leaving outdoor rugs on while in the stable as long as dry and not rubbing. Take of at least once a day to check.
